Kitchen, Dining and Living Area
With its high beamed ceilings, Karndean flooring, huge panoramic window and door to the enclosed rear garden, this open plan area is fantastic for couples to spend time together. The fully fitted and well equipped kitchen at one end includes a fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and hob, microwave and an island unit. The dining table comfortably seats two plus a high chair, which on arriving at The Roost will be set with fresh flowers, fruit and a Welcome Hamper for all to enjoy. The Living area is equipped with a 50” flat screen TV with free view. Two sofas set around an ample coffee table create a sociable chill-out area. There is a choice of books, maps and games for you to select from. There are six steps leading up from the Hallway.
Hallway
On entering The Roost from the front door you find yourself in the hall. Leading off here is The Bootroom. In which there are a range of fitted storage cupboards for coats, boots and doggy stuff, including towels, throws, spare leads etc. and the hoover. There is also a full height freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. From The Hallway there are six steps which take you up to the Living Area, Bedroom and Bathroom.
Outside
A secure outside lawned garden which overlooks fields and the Howardian Hills, with a bistro table and chairs for two and gas BBQ. There is a campfire shelter where you can toast marshmallows on the fire and a set of swings for children to use. This former barn stands between a working farm and adjoins The Stables holiday cottage and the owners’ home, it is set on the edge of the village of Oswaldkirk.
Games room
Located separately to The Roost is the shared Games room where you can while away those rainy days playing board games, air hockey, table football or pool.
